These threads about SH are the same stuff over and over. What the SH defenders can't grasp is your area is below the average Florida town in various things like education/jobs/income. It's great you love it but the inability to comprehend that it's below the standards of the average Floridian(not saying much) is hard to figure out.

No place is perfect. You don't usually have a large employment base in a rural area.

Income? Most of us do not work in Spring Hill.

Education? Seems the kids do well in schools here.

Gainesville is not leaps and bounds better than Spring Hill. If it wasnt for Shands, Gainesville would be a total pit. And this is coming from a former resident of Gainesville.
