So glad I have found this site! It looks like we may be re-locating to the west coast from west palm beach, fl. My husband is in sales and will cover St. Pete to Sarasota. This could change, but it seems like St. Pete would be a good place for our young family. Nice homes and good schools are really important to us. Could anyone give me some good zip codes to search for homes online? We'd want to be in the best area, probably looking to spend 500k or so. Thanks!

For that kind of money you can live about anywhere you want. If you your going to live in St. Pete, check out Pasadena, Gulfport, Treasure Island. All those places are nice and pricey.

Thanks for the suggestions. I did a search online for homes in those 3 areas. I put in 4 bedrooms and 400-550k. I came up with less than 10 properties, mostly condos (which we don't want). Is that strange? Looks like we will have to broaden our search (other parts of st. pete, south tampa, sarasota?).

Any other input would be VERY much appreciated. Thanks.

Here's a link to a site I use a lot when I'm just curious about a house I see. you can spot about any house if it's listed.

Seminole is also really nice and very close to the beach. That is where I grew up.

Default Map of St. Pete zip codes

I made this map based on levels of median household income circa 2005, so it's only 2 years out of date:

Old Northeast - 33701 and I think 33704. Crescent Lake - 33704.
