Still considering Tampa as an option to move. The possibility of living on the bay is quite appealing. How bad would be the commute from the northern part of Safety Harbor/southern par of Oldsmar to the USF area? Is that a crazy idea?
Thanks!

I am planning on moving from tample terrace to riverview I want to know is there any good school in the riverview community area. I nerver been to riverview before how is the drive from UCH fletcher to there because I work at the hospital.
I love the tampa area but the houses are not good looking I think if i move to riverview I would have more space for my money. but I'm so nervous about the idea of living a community do they charge hoa fee on the mortgage or do you have to pay it separate each months.

Keeper, you asked where I would be working, actually I do not have the job yet, but I hope I can find something in the mental health field, I am a Case Manager for people with mental illnesses in Phoenix. I am a single mother, my son is 10 and our financial situation is not the best but we handle it. I have heard about Brandon and Riverview. I visited Valrico and drove around some of these places, however I am not sure of what places exactly I visited because I just drove by. So I guess my plan after getting the job would be to rent an apartment for my son and I, safety is an issue and good schools. Do you think you can help me with some info? I will start applying for jobs with the state, and in general next month in February.
Need help.. Thanks

I would get a local cell phone even if it is a prepaid one and if you know anyone who would let you use their address on your resume that will help you a great deal.
You might be able to get on with DCF .
The Florida Department of Children and Families
There are a lot of safe areas around Tampa you just need to let us know what things are important to you and your rent budget. Don't feel bad, it is hard for me to tell when I leave Brandon and am in Valrico.
Let us know how the job search goes.

You are looking at approximately a 1 hour drive in the morning. It is even worse going home. I've been down that road.
If you like living on the water and work in Tampa, you should look at Rocky Pointe. That would probably cut 15-20 minutes off your drive.

That is my question as well because I'm relocating to Tampa very soon and would like to know more.

Hi- I just found this forum while doing a search for a beach near me
We moved from Odessa to Spring Hill at the beginning of May-- Spring Hill, imo has a lot more going on than Odessa did-- we were right off 54 and Gunn there.
We are paying 100 more a month for a ton more room and an inground pool.
The further you get from Tampa the cheaper it is to live
Spring Hill totally reminds me of where I grew up (and my family still lives) in Northeast/Central PA
In Odessa--everyone kept to themselves...everyone is very nice and warm here every store you can imagine is somewhere on us 19
We looked at a few other towns before Spring Hill-and they were kind of...unsafe looking

Wow!!!! I have read all of these posting and I am really afraid to move to Florida.....
We are from a beach town in Orange County, CA and my husband is getting ready to accept a V.P. position in Clearwater, Fl. Are there any family friendly areas around there??? We have 2 young children and don't mind paying for private school... We are not on a tight budget for housing. Any suggestions? I don't want to "freak" out when we move there!!!!

Help Moving to Tampa
I will be moving to Tampa in a couple of weeks. I am single with 2 small dogs. I am looking for a house with a yard. I will be going to the community college on Dale Mabry and I don't know where I can find a nice safe place to live. I have researched many areas and they seem to be so far. I hate driving far distances...can anyone help??
