Just be careful with Craigslist.. there have been folks who rent out homes they don't even own. They take your money and leave you with no place to live.

I found a few houses I liked in Brandon and Riverview, roughly 25 miles from McDill, with a pool (salt) 4 bedroom and 3 car garage below $1800, so despite Debby, the weekend trip was worthwhile.

Debby might be a blessing in disguise for home buyers/renters looking for a place. You get to see where the flooding is, what roads are being blocked off, etc.

I got a good idea alright. I know one thing, I am so going to enjoy living in Tampa. Went to the aquarium and the kids loved it, daugher lost her favorite stuffed kitty, but otherwise a blast. The port is right there and they offer military discounts on cruises...epic place to be!
