He was just on the news a few minutes after my post. A state of emergency was declared, so now funds can be accessed to help get things cleaned up.

Be very, very careful with emptying your pool so it does not POP out!

Just wait till a Cat5 comes up the pipe and makes landfall around Tarpon springs with a 23ft surge.

I won't stick around for that. I'll be headed up I-75 to destinations up north out of the path.

Yesterday I rode down Bayshore and it was flooded to where a sedan couldn't drive down it...waves crashing over the wall...hard rain...yet there was a guy jogging along the sidewalk on the bay side. Is that reaching for attention or what? All I thought to myself was "what a tool bag" and took a photo to share with friends who could laugh with me.

One thing you guys gotta understand about Bayshore. When the tide is super high the rain water can not drain off thanks to the very high tide.

This is what my driveway looked like in Danashores back in Sept of 1985 during Elena, the tide was so high it was pushed up into the storm drains and out onto the street.

It would be awful wouldn't it ! I mean, I'd sure hate to see this place look like an aerial view of post-Andrew Homestead. Then I might have to evacuate this sticky cesspool for good.

The day will come the whole area will be wiped off the map for good. Could be this year or another 50 years, but that day wll come.

Probably the same year California splits off and goes under for good after "the big one".
