I am relocating to the St. Pete area for work from Michigan. I am sure it is going to take us a while to sell our property and home in Michigan and want to start off renting. Looking for a nice area as we have a very active 3 year old and another baby due the end of the year. My job would be in the North East side of the city close to the bay. Not sure how long it would take to get anywhere (new home site) in a reasonable amount of time. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Can I still get the U of M football games on tv down there?

I am going to be going down for the day next week and would love to drive through some prospective areas to get a feel for them.

I would look at a few areas:

Feather Sound

Old Northeast

Shore Acres

Those are all nice areas. Shore Acres particularly has a lot of families.
