I am so proud of the city for FINALLY sprucing up Kennedy Blvd and all of the main thoroughfares. If nothing else this convention has forced the city to actually do some landscaping. Which ALL of Tampa desparately needs. It's embarrassing.

I completely agree with you on this! I've been saying this for years...and I emailed the city myself several times!

Where's the pride?

I agree cleaning up the city has been long overdue. It's ironic though that they cleaned it up for a group of people who generally would be against spending money on such a thing.

You know, they are WASTING so much money on frivolous stuff, that "complaining" about cleaning up the city should be LAST thing they dare to do.

I thought you were going to say that they cleaned up the city only to have it messed up by vandals, or those who don't understand "common sense"!

Prob true, but they will invest, if there is a return... and making the city and main streets look nice and kept- cannot hurt at all... I think, it speaks well of any city. Hope they keep it up.

Yes, I have a secret list of all the protesters. Hannibal Lecter is at the top of the list. Hide the seniors & babies Hannibal might get hungry! Maybe the police can use the riot gear when things get out of hand at the strip club. Some of the politicians can get testy when they have to wait too long for their turn in the champagne room. I'm going to stop commenting on this now because we'll never see eye to eye. I work downtown so hopefully I'll survive.

Our local Hannibal was arrested in Largo 2 weeks ago-thank God he did not hurt any our local kids, but he does exist...just with a real name. and yes hopefully all will be well with you-
