Default Where do all the Mirabay pre-school/elementary age children go to school?

I am trying to get some information on where do the parents of Mirabay send their pre-school/elementary age children to school? I know that it is zoned for Apollo Beach Elementary but what private schools do they attend? In what cities?

We are moving there in a few weeks and have asked around but since we are relocating from out of state, we had very little time to talk amongst the neighbors.

Thanks for any info.

Unless it would be a church-based school, I am not aware of any private schools in the immediate area.

There are some public charter schools fairly close, but other than that you are looking at Tampa for a private school, such as Independent Day School (who just changed their name to Corbett something.)

Apollo Beach Elem was pretty highly rated in FL's school grades. Most of the Mira Bay families send their children to the public school. Keep in mind the complexion of the Mira Bay community has changed tremendously in recent years. In 2006, the homes started in the low 300's and now you can purchase a home for $150K. Mira Bay is certainly plush, but its clientele now represents some affluence plus many working class homeowners who wouldnt consider private schooling.

I have heard good things about Apollo Beach Elementary as well and realize that not everyone in Mirabay can afford to/wants to send their children to private schools. I didn't think that Mirabay = private schools. We have various reasons for wanting to go private at this particular time.

The reason for wanting to know is because it would be nice for our daughter if she had some classmates within the community. Obviously, the school would have to be a good fit for our daughter but it would be nice for her to have friends from school close to home.

Put your zip code in geatschools.net and it will bring you the results for both private and public schools.

Go to the county website and plug in your address, not just the zip code. We moved to Apollo Beach but are slated for Ruskin schools. We decided to send our kids to a Charter school.
