You could try Rouen Thai on Gandy (Tampa side). They have a menu that goes way beyond the standard stuff, includes things like frog legs.

There is a decent Thai restaurant in the Publix/walmart plaza at Bell Shoals and Bloomingdale.

In Carrollwood/Northdale area, I recommend Thai Basil on Northdale Blvd.

The best Thai Restaurant in Tampa Bay is Thai Am 2 at John's Pass. I've probably been to 15+ Thai restaurants in the area and probably another 15 in other parts of the country and this is definitely the best Thai I've had.

Rouen Thai is really, really good. They get my vote as well.

To answer your question on anything near Lutz, I like Thai Sweet Basil on Northdale Blvd. And a little further south on Dale Mabry (near Waters Ave) is Sukhothai. I haven't eaten at Sukothai recently but it's been there a really long time and the food was very good the last time I ate there.

Lilacmama, we also did not think much of Lemongrass in Riverview.

Not impressed my Lemongrass either, but it was good.

Really loved Thai Market on Dale Mabry but last time I tried to go there I saw it had burned down. Not sure if they will rebuild it.

I would say Thai Island on Davis Islands. Cafe de Siam is good too.
