Coming from CA, needed to know if there are frequent sightings of snakes, alligators and the like in pre-planned communities as I find a lot of these are built around lakes. Also, how much of a drive is it to Tampa and to the lovely beaches? Thanks in advance for all your input.

Your house is very nice but I had something a little larger in mind simply because I have three boys and in-laws visit frequently. Thank you once again and good luck.

I plan to visit for the 1st time this December to check out the areas. With little ones, i am worried about the dangerous critters. Not at all familiar w/that area but want something newer close to Tennis schools and good public schools.

Default Schools and Tennis schools..

Check out www.Saddlebrook (broken link) Resorts.com. It's located very close to some lovely homes. There are some new communities, for example, Seven Oaks, Meadow Pointe, Country Walk and also some homes in the Saddlebrook Resort, security gated. I work there. They have tennis schools, lessons, etc. Also two golf courses, one an Arnold Palmer design. Both sports have pros to assist. Also a prep school on site.

Hi,
I, too, would highly recommend the Saddlebrook Resort for tennis. The housing communities in Saddlebrook and around in Wesley Chapel (Pasco County) and New Tampa (Hillsborough County) are fantastic. I moved my young family here from NH in 2004 and settled on New Tampa after extensive research. We all love it here. Check out the Hillsborough County and Pasco County School District websites for school information. These areas have very strong school curriculums and very strong PTA involvement. It is mostly comprised of young families who put their children's education as a priority in their lives.

Default Living here

Meadow Pointe is made up of many small communities. Some older and some newer. The schools are located in and very close by to the homes. We do have all the wildlife in the green areas. I live on a large pond and see deer, birds, otters, and an occasional gater. They're building new everything here.
We've built here in 2001 and made many improvements. Most people are very friendly, with many from all across the country and from around the world.

The only problem you will encounter living in that part of the area is if you plan on commuting into Tampa. I-75 and Bruce B. Downs (the two major traffic arteries) are parking lots in the morning and evening rush hours and won't be getting any better.

I was commuting from Brandon to Wesley Chapel last fall, and I was always amazed at the amount of traffic going south on I-75 in the mornings.
