Just bought this old AM / FM clock radio at a yard sale for $2, but I came to realize that the clock will not flip over to the next minute when the time should change. I wanted to go get it fixed somewhere but I don't know anyone around here that could do it.

It's a Panasonic RC-7589 if anyone is curious.
Here's a picture I found online:

talk about old school retro kind of like a lava lamp- I can see why you want to fix it - not trying to be funny.

Called around -- Boggs Jewelers at Disston has a clock repairman Monday through Friday. Pre-estimate could be anywhere between 20 and 100. If it's the latter it's going to stay broken.

If you can get to the clock area perhaps all it needs is a blast of compressed air to get the dust out of the moveable parts. Shouldnt be rocket science.

If I take this thing apart I might not be able to put it back together. I'm not the most handy person.

Found an ad from 1970 in New York Magazine. That means this thing is at least 42 years old!

New York Magazine - Google Books

EDIT: Could also be even older -- page claiming it's from 1964

Default Vintage radio

I'd check Craigslist, and maybe post your own "wanted" ad requestion that. I have an OLD radio and I'm looking for someone to fix it. I'm going to do the same when I get the funds. GOOD LUCK
