You are right, these 30 come right from the Fed, meaning out of thin air, meaning our money just lost 30 million in value. It's a shift of purchasing power. The likely winners? Wealthy folks with connections to the politicians..they will get a juicy contract, charge the city millions for something that costs half.

It's the way it works folks.

Truer words never spoken. Unfortunately, you are right on. Good post.

Apparently, you didn't read the article.

This will fund "A job training center next to the GTE Federal Credit Union headquarters, with a curriculum tailored to the needs of the local labor market by Hillsborough Community College."

First off, the 30 million was created out of thin air, meaning, we all pay for it. Second, the 30 million will likely be handed over to a friend of one of the politicians. Both get a cut, the city will likely get a small % of benefits.

It's the way it rolls.

thethinktank, it's damn if they do, and damn if they don't. These posters whine and moan about Tampa being such a bad place and needing this and that, and then they whine and moan when $$$ comes in for a great project that is going to be a boost in the arm for the city. They mostly don't even bother to read what's actually happening even when one posts excerpts from the articles. It's just easier to not bother to educate themselves and go onto message boards and complain about how horrible everything is.

If you don't like it why don't you do as your name says and move to Sarasota. We all know there are enough of your kind holding this city back. I could actually start to like this place if there were less of you.
