O-M-G!
You should read all posts from the top of that page.

Stay away from that area! Period!

Can you come to Tampa before you are planning to move and drive around few neighborhoods? You will get the idea of what we are talking about.

And Tampa is not more dangerous, you just looking for one of the worst parts of Tampa!

Just come over and take a look at this area. I promise you, you will start your search from the begining!

P.S. If I tell you that the car was stolen from the parking lot of apartment complex and from the closest store, would you considering living their? Talking from experience....

Sigh.. I guess that means it isn't in a good neighborhood then EngGirl...
I'm just looking for a place thats near semi close to campus, decent priced and safe.
And I don't want to get caught up in traffic..

Have you ever lived in inner city Miami? Well, I do. And I've never had anything happen to me, yet. I hate traffic and I don't want to be far from the school honestly. I will not be working, well I don't plan on in, and I don't believe in paying a crazy amount for rent.

I second EngGirl's comments - try New Tampa. It is safer than many areas right near campus but still a reasonable commute, lots of retail, grocery stores and food options around as well.
