Most customers can see a big difference between the two stores (quality and appearance) -

Doesn't matter to me. I haven't even set foot in Sweetbay. I shop at either Winn Dixie (because it's closer and the gas rewards thing works well for me) or Publix (when they have stuff on sale that I want).

When Trader Joe's opens, Winn-Dixie will never see me; and Publix will see me a lot less.

Nothing to be sorry about. The two stores are very different in quality and appearance. There are people I know that shop in Sweetbay and now won't step foot in Winn Dixie.

Both of these companies have been circling the drain for years. I wonder how much longer until they're finally gone.

I have never found Win Dixie stores all that clean...maybe because they were older they just look shabbier...other then the meat department in Sweetbay I didn't care for them...thought the bakery was awful...

Winn Dixie actually ran an ad campaign that said something to the effect that "you told us to clean up our stores, so we did! come back!" I couldn't believe it. Customers should not have to tell you to that your grocery store is dirty and you need to clean it up! I hate Winn Dixie. I can't believe that they are squandering the relatively good name of Sweet Bay to make more Winn Dixies. Really dumb decision.
