Well I know that....but why come all the way here to "shop"??? bathing suits aren't out yet, are they? most stores sell the same merchandise...if I were to come to FL for a week, I'd be shopping in Miami Beach! in those tiny designer shops, and on Las Olas...not at some mall....those who've been to Miami know what I am talking about...

Agreed, I wouldn't fly from another state to visit malls in the greater tampa area. But if they are staying in clearwater, then international plaza isn't painfully far. And crossing the bridge is a scenic experience, unless it's rush hour. I mean, if I was trying to convince a shopaholic to move to tampa, I sure as hell wouldn't take them to Tyrone Square Mall

Thanks for the input! To answer some questions, yes she is 16, is homeschooled here and will be entering the "early college" program, be it here or St. Pete so she isn't missing out on the HS stuff as she does not attend anyway. Shopping? Yes, she is a shopper but def not going to a mall there, unless it is the International you have been speaking of. She enjoyed John's Pass the last time we were there so I do want to take her to the Sat morning market. As for the tall, dark and handsome comment.....yes she is 16. So yes she likes boys. Loves Channing Tatum! I was kidding hence the lol at the end of the sentence. She hates it here in GA but has a few close friends she would miss so I feel for her there but I know she would really enjoy living down there. And, she wants to get into the marine biology field so that seems to be the perfect area to help with her schooling/career. So, fun places in the area where teens might like to have fun. We also visited Tarpon Springs (for me) last time we were there.

Thanks so much for your help!

Bathing suits are out here in Sarasota. Racks and racks in TJ Maxx and Marshalls and saw and entire of Macys filled with new swimwear and cover ups.

For marine biology, absolutely take her to Mote in Sarasota. One of the most respected research labs in the WORLD.
