The bees are back. A sinkhole fatality and now this, WTH?? I can only imagine the lightning season we're going to have, since we are the lightning capitol of the US.

I saw this today!!!! I'm like damn, I am a total bug phobe and moving to Florida I was concerned w all the bugs and read many posts that made me feel better but now reading killer bees and mosquitos that feels like getting stabbed aye aye aye lol

We have yet to notice any bugs here. We eat outside at restaurants and don't even see any flies. In other states we lived, flies were always around the outdoor seating of restaurants. Very annoying.

I don't mean to post off topic but how are the mosquitoes? I know up here, given the right location of a softball field and you can see people swatting their arms all over the field. Getting bit in the middle of a play is no fun either.

So there are two things I won't escape moving to FL....traffic and these jacked-up super-sized mosquitoes!

We had more of a problem with mosquitoes down there than i do in the woods up here. Trucks came by and sprayed two nights a week and helicopters sprayed every other week. That seemed to help a little but they still made it uncomfortable to be outside. We were in an area with a lot of sawgrass and water.It's probablly better in the city areas.
