A long time ago, a guy was standing by the exit of an interstate and I rolled down the window and gave him five bucks. My brother, said "What did you do that for? Aren't you worried he will buy booze with it?"

I said "I HOPE he buys booze with it".

Guarantee ya, if I am ever in that position, I ll buy booze with it.

Well the only problem with that is, when you live in the city, you find these guys passed out behind your house, after they peed and crapped themselves. I watched them steal my neighbor's paper, pee in their yard, they would throw rocks at my dog.
It's easy to feed these "stray cats" when you live in he suburbs and don't have to deal with them.
I lived in SOHo when this happened so it wasn't a poor neighborhood.

My take is, if your sharp enough to make a sign, your sharp enough to dig a ditch! Truly mentally ill homeless usually aren't asking for money. They're the ones digging through the trash, looking like they haven't bathed in months.
Sure are a lot of Fat homeless, considering they're all so hungry. By the way, I can't remember the last time I went to a homeless person that DIDN'T have a cell phone.

I'm not trying to break anyone's stones here. You do what makes you feel good, but remember some of us have to deal with them in ways that aren't very pleasant.

This would be a good time to turn on your sprinkler system.
