We thought it was beautiful out today, also. I've had the AC of and patio door (pool side) open about a foot all day so the cats could come and go, and the humidity level in the house is 46 right now, and the temp is 77.

How many years until my electronics will die, because I've been opening the windows for 4-5 yrs so far and nothing has gone bad? Do I get another several years? If so, I guess they'll be due for upgrades anyway.

I have screens on all windows, lanais - bugs aren't an issue. Guess I have good pest control around the house.

LOL, hey they way it goes with electronics anymore, after 6 months you're due for an upgrade, so I think you're doing fine We've never had an issue either. I guess if you left your windows open during Debby last year..maybe...but, on a day like today you're crazy if the windows aren't open!

My windows been open for weeks now,,, I love my fresh air- besides I can't run ac here as the smoker next door is trying to kill me. So very happy the breeze is blowing and it's great!! My new apt also faces a canal... so be great to open windows, I hope I think I will close enough to the Bay that I'll catch alot of breeze as I do in Clearwater.

I am all for your "Yay Florida" attitude, but in another post you said that there are seasons in florida, now this.

I'm not sure what your point is. Before moving down and even after moving down, people were telling us we would have to run AC all year long and keep the windows closed. Well, we knew that could not be true. I did say there are seasons here, as obviously it is not hot and humid here all year, we have frost warnings in the winter and about 50% of the trees lose their foliage . Not having to run the AC much at all since we have been here, having to run the heat in the mornings until not all that long ago and then most certainly having to run AC during the summer pretty much shows how much the seasons do change here.

So again, not sure what tour point is. My point is that it is May and it is a great day to have the windows open and will be for some time. Enjoy!
