Better- Largo, Seminole, Pinellas Park, or?
Hello all:
Will be working at the VA in Bay Pines, FL. Which area is better to live (safe) and commute time - Largo, Seminole, Pinellas Park, or?
Thanks for your input.

Most people would say Seminole. There are nice safe neighborhoods in all those cities. However, you are really closer to Saint Petersburg, Seminole and Largo verses Pinellas Park.

I was born, raised, left, and returned to St. Pete. I will say for my experience you would probably do best in Seminole as far as commute. There are some less than favorable areas in all the places you mentioned. Seminole is the closest and it is the highest as far as elevation. Although in my opinion anywhere in Pinellas county could flood if we got enough rain. The schools in Seminole are very good for the most part. I think there are some great areas in West St. Pete too. It just depends on whether you are planning on renting or owning. I love the Holiday Park area of St. Pete but the houses are pretty pricey. Just remember that insurance here is very tricky and the property taxes have gone off the scale. I hope that this helped you some. Oh and there will be people on this forum who will try and make you think you should run screaming from this area. It is a good place to live. Best of luck to you.

I would take Largo or Seminole over Pinellas Park. JMHO.
Largo and Seminole are closer to the VA and they are a bit nicer. Again, just my opinion.

Just for discussion purposes, look in the Pasadena area as well. It's near the VA.
