Where do you grocery shop, for quality but Good prices??????

Grocery and other stores
There are also a lot of other threads in which people could have used the search option, but didn't. Please if you're going to post in my thread at least provide something useful.

I hate when people just post in a thread to say "use the search" bahbahbah. Go find something more useful to do.

I shop the BOGO's at Publix and use coupons - it's not expensive using those tactics. If you just go in blindly and buy stuff, yep it's expensive - I'd shop Winn Dixie or Albertson's (if you're near one of the few left) if you're going to do it that way. We go to a produce market weekly (Grahm's is a good one in the St Pete area) and a meat/seafood market maybe once a month. Zaycon foods is also a good way to do the meat if you can buy 40 lbs+ at a time or split it with friends/family.

IMO Sweetbay is the most expensive and I really dislike their store brand.

I used to get stuff at Scaggs Albertson's as that is what it was called here when they first started in the 70's.

The extra cost of publix is well worth the clean store and super friendly employees that work there. THere's a winn dixie that is only .5 mile from my house, but we never buy anything there unless its something we need asap like ketchup, never meat. The store looks run down, dirty, and generally wouldnt be surprised if roaches were there. All winn dixies look like that, to me. Publix is always clean and someone is always asking me if I need help finding something, how my day is going, etc. I'll gladly drive the extra 2 miles to hit up publix over WD.

Isn't Winn Dixie expensive though? I heard it was almost like Publix. Zaycon sounds cool, but I don't need that much meat lol.

They are very high and just don't offer much compared to Publix.

I laugh every time I go into a Winn Dixie. At the entrance of the store that I occasionally visit they have buy one, get one free, but it always seemed that the price of the item was nearly double what I've seen in other stores.......

I shop at Publix almost exclusively. Clean stores, nice staff, competitive prices.

To me, the Winn Dixies and Albertsons' always smell like a combination of fish and sour milk, but Winn Dixie does carry some items from smaller distributors (Trappey's brand, for example) that I can't find elsewhere. The Sweetbay stores near me have all closed, apparently. Never been to an Aldi's and I refuse to give my money to anything connected to Wal Mart.

I'd love it if a Costco's opened up near me.
