We have looked in Seaside Sanctuary - it is gorgeous.

Thank you for all the info - I think we are going to stay open to each side while looking for houses - I am just afraid of moving to "Wesley Chapel part 2" - where it's a nice place to live but we are kind of in the middle of nowhere and far from everything ie beach/city/etc...
Either side will be busier than Wesley Chapel, but the closest city is Clearwater and that is still a good 30 minute drive.

Don't want to get flamed here...but a move from Wesley Chapel to Palm Harbor is a major step up...IMHO...

Haha - we really liked living in Wesley Chapel, it has A rated schools, is close to I-75 and I-275, USF, lots of new growth - but too far from the coast. If it were SO great, we obviously wouldn't be leaving

I think it's the "intangible" factors that you will notice about Palm Harbor...like the educational level of the parents your child goes to school with...it does make a difference...IMHO

There is definitely a HUGE difference. We moved from Spring Hill, and talk about culture shock! Although we don't live in Palm Harbor, one of my children attends school there. My child went from being around kids with parents with zero to little education beyond high school to kids with parents who were not only college educated, but who often went beyond that and attained graduate degrees. It took my son awhile to adapt, to be honest. He still talks about how his Palm Harbor friends are different from his Spring Hill friends. Not different bad or different good just different.

This was a big factor in us deciding on Palm Harbor. We don't have kids in school, but knowing we will sell someday to move further south in Florida for warmer weather, we knew this was incredibly important for resale.

That's crazy that there is such a big difference. It sounds like Palm Harbor will be a good fit for us once we sell our house in Wesley Chapel and figure out which part we want to move to. It doesn't really sound like there is a bad choice to be made as long as we are in the right school districts.

When I was younger I moved from Clearwater to Palm Harbor... I noticed the difference between "Clearwater friends" and "Palm Harbor friends" as well. Went from playing football in the street with 12 other kids to playing football on a playstation on a big screen in a friends "game room". Pluses and minuses to both types.
