Was it new to anyone? Wondering if someone didn't know/forgot about housing boom and people who overpaid for their houses which brough most of them to foreclosure...
Going to pretty much any neighbourhood will let you see the number of distressed properties...

With companies cutting back on full-time positions (not just here, all over the country) in order to avoid the forthcoming Obamacare mandates, it's only going to get worse.

Nah, less than 1% of foreclosure is the cost of doing business, IMO. If you go back and look at historical data this much foreclosure rate exist even when economy is great. People who bite off more than they can chew never cease to exist, good or bad economy.

From the article:

"This is not a new wave of distress we're seeing in Florida," Blomquist said. "It's just that Florida is taking longer to deal with distress from the past."

Yeah, so what? Its PEOPLE who cant/wont pay the bills they incurred. PEOPLE who over extended their finances during the boom. Easier to walk away instead of getting a part time job to cover themselves.

Yep. Everyone wants a piece of paradise. Just have your finances in order, live within your means and its all good. That is how most people do it. You do realize most of the foreclosure problem is due to speculators who were buying anything on the market with the big hope that their investments would make them all billionaires. They had nothing to loose. If anything went wrong, they could walk away. If they bought real estate through, let's say, a L.L.C., there is ZERO personal liability.

Why do you have such a dislike of a place that you and some others that you dedicate a lot of time posting this trash? Seems to be an awful waste of your time.
