Nice name, sort of reminds me of Abomination.

Then the property tax bill comes, what!!! $3,000 in taxes, shucks we thought we'd pay $1,000......then the HOI bill comes, oopps, we got dropped, have to go with Citizens and get ripped off to pay $3,000 for HOI and still no job. Hey but wait, we heard this is paradise, the sun, the beaches, the cool breezes, jeez, can't stay out in the sun too long or we'll get skin cancer, the water is full of human feces
and what cool breezes in July, Aug.......so we stay in our brand new home with new furniture, become couch potatoes watching Judge Judy and get fat and depressed, and eventually we'll divorce, she'll get the kids and move back North and well, I guess a job at Micky D's isn't so bad.

Of course I exaggerating a little but you get the picture........I've hated this G*d forsaken place since the day I got here and hope to get out of this hellhole one day soon.
Well said! Florida's economy just can't stand up to the crazy cost of living there unlike years ago. On top of that one can only put up with tourists for so long.

I've lived here 20 years, and I don't feel it is a dangerous place to live.

I lived in Tampa 30 years and wouldn't consider it dangerous either. Just like any other large city, there are areas you stay away from especially at night..

It's really funny how everyone says prices are so high in Florida, try living in Seattle where you can't even buy a house for under 300k (and that's a fixer)!
