That is good news for Tampa Bay. Those are the types of jobs this area needs.

I am happy for the jobs they will bring, but I'm really against Big Pharm in most other ways.

I agree about Big Pharm, but since they are going to exist somewhere, might as well be in our backyard!

In a few years, people will be longing for the days of Big Pharm.

"Gareth Morgan, a Bristol-Myers Squibb senior vice president, said his company evaluated many locations before deciding that Florida was the "best state for our new facility." The company chose Hillsborough County, he said, for its "talented work force, strong university presence, the Tampa Bay region's business climate, economy and quality of life, and availability of the necessary logistics and office facilities."

So much for the opinions of the anti-FL folks here

I guess those businesses aren't reading city-data! LOL!

Say, I am trying to remember which company decided to locate their headquarters here, they were moving temporary quarters from San Diego, and liked Tampa because to them it seemed extremely similar. Someone posted about it here a couple months ago. Anyone recall which company that was?

ETA: Never mind, found it - it was "Synergy Health" and they call Tampa an "up-and-coming city" that they fell in love with!
