Hello all,

Trying to sum this up shortly. My wife and I want to move out of California, we are tired of paying extra taxes and would like a yard for our son to grow up with. We have a two year old and he needs a proper childhood to grow up in.

I have a few questions I am hoping to get some help with. We have some family friends in Ocala and Miami that have given us some helpful advise as well.

We have not set a particular area but mainly want to be about a 30-minute drive to the beach. My wife is a pharmacist and we are looking for a job for her first, I teach and do the majority of my work online so me finding work is not an issue.

Would my wife being Filipino be an issue with that area, also my son being half Filipino and white? I hate to ask but it is a worry of mine.

We are sending him to private school so school district won’t be a big issue but more any ideas of good private schools?

We are looking to rent a house first then buy within a year that we move. What areas are nice and what areas should be avoided? We are looking for a house with some acreage for around 300k.

Thank you in advance,
J

Some of the public schools in the area are very good, discounting them may result in a missed opportunity for your child to get a great education while having exposure to the diversity that public schools offer.
