The water is nice-I would say nicer at Bahia Honda than Key West. When I lived in Marathon I used to go to Coco Plum (private and nice because there are few people there) and Sombrero Beach (which has more sand, they import it in). I used to always go to Bahia Honda though, the beach was better there (well, swimming I guess). The little beach by the pier in Key West is horrible, lots of coral. Oh, and I used to go to a little beach in Islandmorada called Anne's Beach. It wasn't too bad. Also, heading south, right as you got off the 7 mile bridge, on the left hand side there is a little area to hang out, grill and swim-that was ok. But I think the best swimming I had when I lived down there was a little private beach in this community I lived in on Conch Key-the little private beach actually had water deep enough to swim in not too far off of shore! I couldn't believe it!
I miss it down there, not for the beaches though, for the laid backness. It's a different world in the keys.

Yes, not too much sand and lots of seaweed, but man oh man you can't beat the clarity and color of the water. If I had water like that around me, I wouldn't ever want to go sit on the sand.

Default Sunrise in St. Petersburg

These were taken in mid-July from the Shore Acres/Snell Isle area of St. Pete:

I also saw some dolphins, but, wasn't able to catch any of them on camera.
