Unique street names in Tampa:
As far as I can tell, this is the only street with this name in the United States.
Republica de Cuba (http://www.flickr.com/photos/ferret111/4587447756/ - broken link) by ferret111 (http://www.flickr.com/people/ferret111/ - broken link), on Flickr
This is a major street, yet this portion is so short, that I don't believe many people know the name.
Boy Scout Boulevard (http://www.flickr.com/photos/ferret111/4585440415/ - broken link) by ferret111 (http://www.flickr.com/people/ferret111/ - broken link), on Flickr
And who can forget this one, which is probably Tampa's most notoriously weird street name.
Floribraska (http://www.flickr.com/photos/ferret111/4025201618/ - broken link) by ferret111 (http://www.flickr.com/people/ferret111/ - broken link), on Flickr

My honey and I recently spent the day in downtown St. Petersburg, checking out the Pier and the Farmer's Market. We had a great time!
Here are some of my pics of the people and places we saw....

^^ The Tampa Theatre is one of Tampa's best features. Have you seen a movie there? If not, you need to. They're a little pricey, but I don't feel bad paying $9-10 for a ticket because of the atmosphere. Why people pay that much to go to a mall AMC, I'll never know. At least they saved the Tampa. Out of the dozen or so downtown theaters (including the elaborate Florida and Palace), the Tampa's the only one left.
Also, fun fact about the City Hall picture. The clock on top is named "Hortense."
For a completely different moviegoing experience, I recommend the Fun-Lan, Tampa's last drive-in:

I have! My mother and I enjoy old movies and we usually go when one we particularly enjoy is playing. It's a beautiful old theater and it was nice to be able to freely explore it, even the projection room was open.
