Good pics Jammie, but cow birds? Never heard them called that before!
Funny story..
We went to the Oldsmar Flea Market during Dec. one year and it was packed with out of state cars. I remarked to my DH 'Well it looks like the snow birds are here today'
My grandson who was about 7 piped up and pointed out the window 'Look here come 2 more'.
He was pointing at 2 sea gulls.

Thank you, Keeper. That's cute~what your grandson said.
Well, to me they all look like seagulls. Sis in law is a native Floridian and said they always called them "cow birds". So I don't know if it's just a term that her own family used or if they were actually called that at one time.

OK, now I'm confused. I thought cow birds were those small white skinny birds you see hanging around livestock and that seagulls were the black on white birds seen most often near the beach. And all this time I thought that two different birds were really only one species? (Where's that embarrassed icon?)

It's here. But don't take my word for it. I always thought they were seagulls, too. But since my info came from a Floridian, I thought it was correct. I'll bet there are some internet pics that would tell us for sure though.

I really don't "do" scenery pictures but I'll share a few of my Tampa pictures:
The old Tampa Bay Center back in 2002.
The Sulphur Springs tower probably around 2001.
The Woolworth building in Downtown.
Many more where these came from!

Alright then.
Old 28th Street Drive-in, St. Pete
Clearwater Mall, 2002
Mustang Drive-in, Pinellas Park. ~2001
Kress Building. Franklin St, Tampa. 2007.
Cuscaden Pool. 15th St, Tampa. 2007.
Finally, another Tampa Bay Center picture with the semi-iconic entryway. Tampa, 2001.
As you can probably tell, I like to take pictures of places normally considered "boring." But hey, they become semi-historic when the places are demolished!
