Thank you for posting this! ! ! ! Love that Fl does this. North Carolina did "tax free" weekends for back to school and was wondering if Fl had something similar. Def gonna have to take my 17yo out for school clothes since she lived in hoodies before lol!

Thats the great thing of her being 17, I can give her a budget and send her on her own so I don't have to fight her or the crowds LOL

Pennsylvania did a sales-tax holiday on computers for back to school back in the day when I was in the sales end of that business. It was a booming week. Glad to see Florida does this, and this year they are adding computers to the mix.

meh, for the maybe $10 bucks I save in taxes I will just wait until there is not a mass mob of idiots standing in line for generic stuff that is marked up specifically for this weekend anyway

Family with a lot of children to keep in clothing, computer-ware probably save a few more dollars than $10.

One child alone there's clothing, shoes, and computer stuff (as previously stated) not to mention backpack, sports gear or other extra curricular activity stuff since schools don't provide that, makeup for the girls, etc.

I was going to say notebooks, pens, calculators, etc. but that's probably old school. I see where some schools are requiring more high tech gear instead.

If I were a parent, I'd make it a one stop shopping day for sure.

Anybody know who is offering up the best deal on a laptop computer this weekend or have a laptop suggestion for a non-techie? Thanks.
