Talking best places to stay while visiting Tampa area

We are thinking of coming down next week to check out the Tampa Bay area. Thinking about Tarpon and surrounding areas. Can you please give me some ideas of the best places to stay at ? And about how far is Clearwater and Tarpon from the Tampa Airport ? Thanks for your help

Hello,
What are you looking for in a place to stay? (i.e., convenient to what activities?). Are you set on Tarpon?

Clearwater is about 25-30 minutes and Tarpon Springs is a bit longer, maybe 35-40 minutes from Tampa International. A great place to stay up near Tarpon Springs is the Innisbrook Resort - great golf!

safety harbor resort is right on old tampa bay and convenient to tarpon and all surrounding areas.
If you are on more of a budget there are several nice hotels in oldsmar including a courtyard and residence inn.

Not sure if you are on a budget but I would stay at Spring Bayou Inn in Tarpon a B&B. I just love this house although I have never stayed there.
Inn Tarpon Springs ** Bed and Breakfast Inn Tarpon Springs Florida

There are several others in Tarpon. If you like that area stay there to get a feel of the area. You have to get some Greek pastries and a Gyro.

Bavarian Inn bed and breakfast - Tarpon Springs, Florida. Tarpon Springs Bed and Breakfast Inns.
