I would say less than 10% of the TB area didnt fall off, but thats LESS THAN 10%, and the places that did..WOW did you get screwed.

Most of the people on here that like to brag are 100% bs, hey its the internet silly!

Regardless, answering the OPs original question, it all boils down to livable wages (or lack thereof).

You sorta have a point within your own point. Care to backup your figures with an actual data source?

How about you go first, instead of just throwing out random hyperbole.

No problemo, my friend. Keep in mind, current prices even after the recent great appreciation are still below the 2006 peak, so there is likely more room for further appreciation.

Tampa Bay home prices make highest year-over-year jump since housing boom

"The typical single-family home here sold last month for $172,000, the highest median price in five years, as buyers clawed away at stretched supplies of homes for sale, a Tampa Bay Times analysis of listing data shows."

"Seven out of the ten local homes sold last month were non-distressed, the highest rate of conventional sales in five years."

"low-income and first-time buyers already battling bidding wars"

"Rocketing home prices have led some to fear the deja vu of a new price bubble, but economists argue that concern is premature."

MONTH MEDIAN HOME PRICE ANNUAL PRICE CHANGE
July 2013 $172,000 +27 percent
July 2012 $135,000 +9 percent
July 2011 $124,000 -10 percent
July 2010 $138,000 -5 percent
July 2009 $145,000 -19 percent

LOL! Nice try, but I was able to post one simple article making it very clear with actual data what is really happening.

Much more than I can say that naysayers have provided. Volley to their side for data.

The OP asked about foreclosures and I provided data showing "Seven out of the ten local homes sold last month were non-distressed, the highest rate of conventional sales in five years."

Read more: Whats with all the foreclosures in Tampa?

I am waiting for some people to provide other data, but it does not appear likely.

Carry on.

I provided statistical data.

You?
