Fools? Hardly. My good friend and her husband are anti-flouride in the water and her husband is a DENTIST. Pretty sure a dentist would have a good handle on what's good or not in our water systems for our teeth.

Maybe he's hard on his luck and needs all the cavity-filled kids he can get his hands on.

Here are the ADA facts: http://www.ada.org/sections/NewsAndEvents/pdfs/Fluoridation_Facts.pdf

I guess we found the one-out-of-six dentists who think sugar-filled gum is better than sugar free gum.

That is hardly his case.

But, since you're full of assumptions, most sugar free gum is crap. no way i'll be ingesting those chemicals.

Don't bother arguing with (him?). Any slightly progressive thought, if not mainstream, is considered hogwash.

I, too, am against fluoride in the water. We should have a choice. The dentist you know is not the only dentist against it either. There are several practices in and around where I live who feel, and practice, this way.

I choose not to chew gum period. Don't want the sugar and don't want the chemicals in the sugar free version. Good choices rezfreak!
