Jewish presence in Tarpon, Dunedin, Safety Harbor.. (Tampa, St. Petersburg: place to live, centers)

Hello,
I'm planning to move away from the winters in the north east. Can't stand it anymore.
I was reading a lot of posts here, and looks like Tarpon, Dunedin,SafetyHarbor, Palm Harbor...etc are the favorite locations. We're jewish, so I'm curious if there is any jewish presence there, jewish community center or something like that ?
We're involved in the art & craft shows, doing shows in the North east. I know that Florida has a lot of nice quality shows, that is another reason for us to move. We're in the mid-50s, if it helps...

If you are Jewish and like arts and crafts shows,. then you must check out Temple Beth-El's Arts Show in January (Home (broken link)) It's one of the most highly reagrded in the Tampa Bay area. Tempel Beth-El, along with Temple B'nai Israel, is located in St. Pete (as is the Jewish Community Center and Chabad of St. Petersburg).

Palm Harbor/Dunedin/Tarpon Springs- you have another Temple B'Nai Israel, Temple Ahavat Shalom, Congregation Beth Shalom, and another I think I'm missing.

I don't know very much about Jewish community centers in those areas but - in light of the fact that you list photography as an interest - you can't get much more scenic in Florida than Tarpon Springs and Dunedin (of course I'm assuming that scenery is something you like to photograph).

That's what I need!
But without you telling that, I knew that the scenery is amazing in Florida.
A couple of months ago I bought a new camera, and now it will be sitting in the bag until good weather arrives, which is miserably long and slow. Hope by that time to be in TampaBay.

I can't honestly remember if I replied to your post already. I don't see anything so I wanted to say... please consider Dunedin! It is a wonderful place to live, and to work, and to play. They have the Art Harvest show, and so much more... And there are plenty of other good shows held nearby each year! If you Google the phrase Dunedin Daily Photo, you will find plenty of photos and information about Dunedin. Good luck!
