Prius, that's what I have been reading alot about the last few months, even before I made the move. Again, what they have created, can't find the information on that either. At least it's promising.
Get out of there. I've really had it with brokeass loser "employers" these days. If they can't pay, they're not a viable business. That's what people don't realize.

That's why I ignore half of the recommended services when I see my local dealers or as some call them stealers. I go by what's in the service manual.

Good luck to you!

Prius you are exactly right, with no data, who's to say what is actually out there. Sometimes it seems like it's all propaganda to just make us all feel good about the ecomony. So drop us a bug and holler "jobs"! But not what they entail. Not a lie, but not the truth either. Talking to people are are living it every day has always helped me. As for listening to people on forums about job growth or lack there of, yes, taking it with a grain of salt. Point me in the right direction, just don't spin me around and turn me loose is all I ask I'll find my way. Thanks again.

The cluster along Dale Mabry looks very nice and clean and you could probably find a nice little place to live in Carrollowood. Mind you, it won't be like Crystal River, but you'll be able to find some nice spots.

The cluster along State Rd. 60 is in an area that looks very industrial, although the dealerships are nice. But that's the way that area is. If you work there, you may be able to find something in Riverview near the Alafaia River. Again, not like Crystal River, and you'll have to do some hunting, but you'll be able to turn something up.

@ MeInDenudinFL That is one thing I take pride in. If it's not recommended in the manual, I won't recommend it. There's a ton of dealerships that push extra services. I'd rather be honest and have a loyal customer base to make my income then rolling them over and fishing for wallets.

kmarc, thats the advice I needed. I'm pretty good at finding a good fit for myself. I'll get some ideas online and plan my day-trip accordingly.

Try to find out where Dealer's Row is in central Pasco county, too. Look up Toyota of Wesley Chapel and I think there may be other dealerships close by. There's $$ in that area as well.

Try Brooksville, Hernando County. Several dealerships here.

I've been an automotive service writer for the last 20 years and all I know is customer service.

So my question is...I love Crystal River, but hate the job market. Considering when my lease is up in 7 months to move further south to the Tampa area. How is the job market in the area? Everyone up here is either looking for part time only or only pays minimum wage. Hate to move towards a big city, but driving an hour and a half is out of the question. What about housing..meaning rentals?

Just looking for a good balance between work and housing...and not killing my self in a job for measly pay. After all, I did move here for the beautiful weather and all the outdoor activities year round. Hate to head towards Orlando, or worse yet, back to the ice cold North.

Thanks!
