Mine are open all year as my old Cracker House has no A/C. I certainly would not have figured you for someone who would let Mr. Carrier's unnecessary invention ruin your Lovely Heat and Humidity!

Love Heat and Humidity during those months, just not in the house. I love the change of seasons here as well and today is one great example of that, especially with the stronger breeze cutting through the windows and sliders.

Thanks for the reminder. Nice to get a fresh breeze thru the house for a change instead of forced AC air. It's been a while.

DW, I'd love to hear about that cracker house. I had a friend who bought one over in the Clearwater area and she tells me it was constructed and positioned in such a way that you can actually be somewhat comfortable (not cool, just not too uncomfortable) during the summer. But she did get a window unit just in case. What is your experience?

Wow, if you can not open your doors to get a fresh air, you need to move out of that place my friend like yesterday.
