In Dallas we got a huge grocery store called H-mart, It's mainly Korean & Japanese but they sell all kinds of fresh seafood & meats plus just amazing seasonings to cook with if you are into oriental cooking..so I was wondering if there is a place similar to that one anywhere in Tampa since we will be relocating there next year..

There are quite a bit of oriental markets all over Tampa, and Pinellas.

Having moved from Dallas last summer, we found that there are a few Asian supermarkets here and there but they are small in size and are limited in selection. Those sprawling ones in Dallas like H-Mart, 99 Ranch, HongKong Supermarket would give even the Publix here a run for the money. I haven't found any in size, quality, and selection of the DFW area especially one that would also have seafood and meats. You'll get what you need here, just think smaller and more pricy.

Check:

Kim Brothers Oriental
4021 West Hillsborough Avenue
Tampa, FL 33614

I go there for a few relatively obscure items and their store never fails to have what I'm looking for.

There's several markets here in the area. I typically go to a couple in Brandon but only because I am out that way. My mother in law insists that Oceanic is good but I haven't been yet. We are all asians lol. I am half Korean and my husband is half Filipino so we are always at the asian market

SanWa Farmer's Market at 30th and Hillsborough is the Sam's Club/Costco of Asian markets. Really good meats and veggies, the prices are amazing.

Cool, I will have to check this one out. Thanks. Drove out of my way one time to the Oceanic Supermarket and took a wrong turn just a few blocks east of there and boy....that's some questionable neighborhood and people hanging out at the corner street. I don't think I'd go there when it gets dark.
Btw if you're in St Pete, hit up Wagon Wheel Flea Market Saturday mornings - there are lots of stands there selling fresh asian produce of all kinds. Depend on the season can even get some fresh fruits like longans and lychees etc.

HanGook Mart is a Korean grocery store right next door to my second favorite Korean restaurant in Tampa. Might want to look into that one.

The best Asian grocery store is off of Fowler avenue. I think it is more in the area of Chinese food though.
