My husband is strongly considering taking a job in the Tampa area. His offices will be located in St. Petersburg and Palm Harbor. We plan to rent initially but will be looking to purchase a house in the $600-750K range. Which neighborhoods/suburbs should I be looking at?

Thanks!

This is kind of a very vague question..cause what's best for one person may not be for another. For 600-700k, and having offices in St. Pete/Palm Harbor) I would prefer to live in areas like Northeast St. Pete(just north of downtown, east of 4th Street, maybe along a canal or Bay views). But you could also find a very nice house in Palm Harbor area, gated community, etc.

Really depe4nds on whats important to YOU.

I'm not sure what I'm looking for because I don't know what Tampa has to offer and for what price. I'd like to live somewhere that has good schools. I can do private if I have to, but public would be nice. I want a neighborhood that has young families with kids and nice areas to walk and play. A gated community would be great, but I'm not into cookie-cutter homes. I was kind of hoping just to find out what's available and go from there.
