Keeper ;I will be a bartender in tampa and I just need to know the best location to start concerning price for apartments and of course I dont want an apt in a dumpy area. Should I look for apts by the airforce base or by the airport, coast?.
Can you please List neighborhood names not just counties or broad areas it will really help when I go to forrent.com or other websites.
I would like to be by a communtiy college I plan to start when I establish residentcy.

Hills. community college is near the airport. Forgive me if you answered this before but how much are you looking to spend for rent? Do you already have a job? I think you have to be 21 to be a bartender.
Since you are a single female, I would look for a place with gated access at least in most areas especially if you are going to be coming home late at night.
There are places in S. Tampa, Carrollwood, Davis Island and off of Courtney Campbell causeway that would work for you. If you work in S. Tampa, Downtown or Ybor then I would recommend S. Tampa or Davis Island would be convenient. Davis island is very safe. If you are working out near Carrollwood, then I would live near there.
Give me your price range and I will give you some names of apts to check out.

Angie, we don't have a 'chat room'. If you want to ask questions about neighborhoods and schools that is the place to do it.
Be sure to put in where you or your DH will be working, acceptable commute time and price range.
If you need assistance, let me know

shestrixie.. It is hard to tell you without knowing where you will be working.
Colonial Village is reasonable plus electric/water is included. Not the ritz by any means, but the rooms are decent size. There are so many apts that you won't find online. Some are good, some are not so good.
Check out TBO.com/ Tampa tribune classifieds, you might find something there. Once you find a name, ask on the Tampa forum for info.
Countrywoods on N. Dale Mabry is nice. The Cove right on Tampabay is good for young ppl. Parties and sunset parties are a lot of fun. It is gated. Your dog can run on the beach and swim in the bay. Citrus Falls newer apts, near Citrus Park Mall

It isn't an online chat, if that is what you are referring to, but a thread intended for ppl to post who don't need a lot of information or want to share information.
A place to ask.. why does this say 'chat room' if it isn't a chat room..

Keeper I have one more quick question Do you think that tampa has a Peek season where prices go up should I count on moving in the fall or still plan on the end of this summer?
