Well welcome aboard. There is also a social group for FL folks. Take a look. Chat away and have a great day.

My son is 32 and looking to relocate from central fl. to Tampa or St. Pete. Which area would suit him the most? He is looking for nitelife and culture. He also is a dj. I heard St. Pete is all old retired people, is that true? He is also looking to downsize to a smaller home, something like a craftsmen bungalow or cottage. (historic)
Thanx

7 years ago I would say hands down Tampa, but I have been really impressed with how downtown St. Pete has transitioned to an area for younger people. If he is a DJ, Ybor City in Tampa would be a great place to check out for that crowd. Craftsman bungalows are found around Ybor, Tampa Heights, Seminole Heights and South Tampa. Each of these areas have their own uniqueness. St. Pete has areas that are similar and up and coming like Old Northeast and Kenwood.
A good link to check out is the summary put together by Creative Loafing Creative Loafing Tampa | Special Sections | Urban Explorer's Handbook 2008 | Urban Explorer's Handbook 2008

Not a likely find to be honest, although maybe a tiny efficiency.

From the information you relay in your inquiry, I can only speak of the South Tampa area for young people, good sports bars(Hawk's, Gren Iguana, Press Box, The Lime, SOHO Tavern, Tiny Tap, more), food(Along South Howard Avenue, Bay to Bay Blvd near MacDill Avenue and more, water(the Bay both Bayshore side and Westshhoire side - South Tampa sites on a Penninsila and the Gulf beaches are about 30 minutes), and golf within 10 minutes, with townhomes in the area around 200k-300k.
IM not sure where you will be working though, but if its the Westshjroe or Downtown districts, you will be in easy reach, minimal commute, and your also near all the sports(Tampa Bay Bucs, Lightning Hockey and Storm Arena Football)
