Your work location will dictate this. with all the water, multiple bridges and highways - you may find commute time vary greatly depending on how you get there more than how far away are you

Ready for some sun!
My family and I are hoping to move to the Tampa area after the first of the year. We currently live in VA and are ready to make the move. We would like to rent for the first year and would like to stay around the $1200.00 a month range. We have a beautiful 5 year old daughter and a 4 month old puppy. Our daughter will be starting school next year and we are concerned about the school systems and also need to find a pet friendly place. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Ron..
The first thing is to find out where you will be working. Traffic can be brutal so you want to make a smart decision. You can check out goodschools.net for schools.
You should check out craigslist and/or TBP.com for rental property. I know you can find apts who will take dogs but many have a weight limit plus some have breed restrictions.

There's a big display East of Brandon, in the Dover area. North on Dover road, a few miles on the right side of the road. A few hundred yards off Dover road. It can be easily seen from the main road.
Dover road is the road where the old fire tower is.

Who is a good hair stylist for short hair, that is reasonable? Preferably in the St. Petersburg area.

Traffic gives me a feeling that there's stuff going on. I don't like to be stuck in it, but it sure is nice when you have a short commute home, and you can crack a beer and gaze at that backup of metal on concrete. You'd think I'd want to be in New York City, in the midst of all those pedestrians who could actually stop and talk to you. But there's something more awesome about all those cars, the fact that they can't just stop and talk to you, the wheels are already in motion. Each single car is a bigger event than a mere pedestrian. One day I'm going to live right in the center of it all, in a concrete building in a big city, where I can hear that subtle drone of a freeway.
