I don't usually post in this forum but always view as I'm planning to relocate in the next year or so.

I see that HGTV Property Virgins is planning to film in Tampa this year (HGTV's Property Virgins is coming to Tampa Bay and Charlotte! : About Us : Home & Garden Television)

I'm looking forward to seeing those episodes. Anyone signed up?

It was an interesting episode. Wifey wanted a southern charmer with wrap around porch and hubby wanted log cabin. The kicker is their budget was under $200k so the houses they actually looked at were far from their dreams. But they found a nice house.

Default Great Show

I enjoy that show anyway, so seeing them in our area was even more interesting.

Wow...that's a departure from HGTV's usual mantra of the wife wants a home with character and the husband wants a modern maintenance-free house, and of course both chirp on about the desire for granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances throughout the entire episode. Oh, and of course we can't leave out how the bedrooms are always "too small". Too small for what exactly??

Haha. Can't forget the "small" dining room also. "How are we going to fit all 70 of our friends in there?"

Yes, I guess most of the posters on this site are seasoned property owners, but there might be some virgins currently renting who are looking to buy.

I'll see be interested to see those episodes anyway.

And they have to have an "ensuite" bathroom in the Master bedroom.
And they hate popcorn ceilings.
I call them flooring snobs. Carpet is always horrible and distasteful...they must have hardwood floors.

Good ones! I actually like popcorn ceilings in some homes. And why are formal dining spaces always bewildering as to what to do with them besides turn them into home offices? That always looks so pretty when one sees that first when they walk into a home...

Seriously, who is writing these scripts? do they not know how ridiculously spoiled and whiny they sound? it's embarrassing really!
