It looks that way; there have been so many this year alone. I thought perhaps suicide in some of them but this one look to be plain old intoxication (equally as scary to me). I know this happens everywhere but there seems to be a 3 for one sale on this type of thing here right now.

I remember this one in south FL; piece of trash killed 2 people but she lived. She did not have a valid license and the girl is of course pleading not guilty...Insane.

My thoughts leaned towards suicide but it also seems alcohol has a lot to do with these events.

I would think that no matter how drunk you are when the signs on the road are blank and you see headlights coming your way there may be a problem. It is really ridiculous.

Might have prevented the needless loss of life - glad they intercepted her. Hope they can learn something from this incident to prevent future accidents. Would like to know which bar allowed her to drive off so intoxicated. Do bars have any responsibility in serving drunk people drinks - and then allowing them do drive off?

I am speechless. Wth is wrong with people? Is there a wormhole somewhere in Tampa that zaps people into oncoming traffic?

Why can't they put spikes like they have at some parking lots in the exit side. When you leave the spikes go down from the weight of the car. If you try to back up you puncture your tires. Theses should be installed on the problem exit ramps.

They use those spikes on MacDill AFB and warn you to slow down to 5 MPH. Don't think that is feasible coming off an interstate.
