I live in NY and want to move to FL, I have an AS in Business and A+ certification, Is it possible to find a decent job in Tampa or some other place in FL?

Not with the degree you have. My sister-in-law and brother-in-law have the same degree you do. My brother-in-law struggled to find work for years, and ended up taking odd jobs here and there until he was able to find a decent position in a smallish company. He is now a quality control officer in a medical device corporation making close to 40K per year. My sister-in-law was only able to find work as a manager at a local Steak-and-Shake. She eventually quit and went back to school for a year to get her teaching degree. Business degrees are a dime a dozen down here. Sorry!

I'm 24 with my BS in business. I make 70K a year here and have a very decent job.

It depends on your industry and experience. It's harder than NY but not impossible. You'd have to tell us a little more about your experience and what you are looking to get into. Do some job searches, research companies in the area. The only way you can answer that is by doing the research yourself.

People will tell you it's impossible but there are good jobs to be had. Pay may be less than NY state, or it may be more. It really depends.

I moved down here with no job and no degree. That was 10 years ago.

You can do it, if your determined.

Third best place in the country to find a job, according to this other post. But I am sure it depends on your experience and education........and especially the field.

Report ranks Tampa the third-best U.S. city to find a job

I work in the fashion and garment industry,I've been a Purchasing Director for 10 years, in charge of other 6 people. I was thinking about going there in the summer to purchase a home in Ruskin while I have this job so banks don't give me a hard time. You guys know that a bank will not approve your loan if you don't have a job, and even if you do they require you to be working there for at least a year. I have enough saving for 1 year, so should I do that and then start looking for a job?
