Greetings from Puerto Rico. We are considering moving to Tampa with our 3 kids nearly in 2015. Our 3 kids are homeschoolers due to the education system of our country. We are considering various locations including: Brandon, Riverview, Wesley Chapel, Temple Terrace, Seminole Heights west, South Tampa (Ballast Point) or New Tampa. We are both teachers so we are looking for a place close to good schools so we can work and our kids can study. We are looking for a family oriented place were we can eat vegetarian food and go to the beach. I know this question had been made maybe a thousands of times, but we want to know specifically of good and bad points in terms of crime, drugs, prostitution and others. Blessings to all and thank you very much for taking your time.

I am a vegetarian that has recently started to occasionally eat fish again. Therre aren't many vegetarian retaurants in the Tampa area generally but you can get your staples (beans, tofu, etc.) for home cooking anywhere. South Tampa has probably the best vegetarian-friendly restaurant options in Tampa, and from that I infer probably the most vegetarians. But vegetarian is not going to be as geographically-specific as good schools. I don't have kids myself but a lot of people at my company have moved from out of state to Tampa and have located themselves based on schools. And my understanding is that South Tampa has some highly rated schools abd after that possibly Westchase and Carrollwood. But again I have more direct knowledge of the vegetarian part of your request than the schools part so hopefully others will also chime in. In general, Tampa is not a particularly vegetarian-friendly place so it is all a matter of degree. I am literally the only vegetariains I know of among the people I interact with at work.
