Got 1" at our place with on and off sun and storms. Gotta love the flow off the gulf.

Yesterday in Gulfport we got a big AM storm, a few scattered showers in the early PM, then a huge downpour around 6PM. Total rainfall for the day was 0.96.

Not really as i am doing some outside painting on the house. I sure don't have to worry about rain at my house. As i said a few days ago i would have a very dry June.

Getting a good frog strangler now. I guess the force field broke down. Goes to show i just about never get rain with a reverse west windflow and as soon as the axis of high pressure moves north of us i get rain.

Hot, hot, HOT yesterday. Whew! Had to drive to Sarasota and some truck dumped a bunch of tar or something on I-75 between the Bradenton SR 70 and University Parkway exits around 9:30am. At noon traffic was still backed up and crawling. At that point my car AC chose to take a dump. Awful. I was wringing sweat by the time I arrived at my appointment.

But I realized something that I never recognized before. What's the difference between people in the Sarasota area and people in the Tampa area? The Sarasota people have tans. I guess they get more sun than Tampa folks, or at least look that way.
