I am a fifty year old male who seperated from my wife in may, she took the kids and dogs and moved to st pete to be closer to where she now works. I lost everything, but was lucky enough to have a great brother to let me stay at his house in sarasota. The problem is there is no work for me down here. I know if I get back to Tampa i can make things work. I am looking for a room to rent possibly in the brandon or temple terrace area I have no furniture so some amenities would be nice. Is there anyone out there who can help? I am on very limited funds as I am trying to get back on my feet. Pretty handy and will do most anything for some help.

Check out craigslist.com or even the Tampa Tribune tbo.com.

roommates.com is a good website if you want to go straight into a roommate situation, which obviously helps with furniture and rent costs.
You say you're pretty handy? Alot of apartment communities offer big discounts for maintenance staff who live on site, but they typically don't pay too well unless you're the supervisor. You can always get second hand furniture from people moving out, too.
