I heard that Dunedin is "dog friendly". What does that mean? I know there is a dog park , but is there other things to do with or for dogs? Is "Main Street" dog friendly? The residential streets?

I see dogs on Main Street all the time.

Honeymoon Causeway doesn't allow dog's though. Over the winter folks brought dog's but now there is a mobile sign that flashes and says no dog's allowed.

There is a dog beach area we used to take our dog to on Honeymoon Island though...

Dunedin is very dog friendly. One of its nicknames is DogEdin. They have a dog parade every year. I know one of the restaurants has a doggy menu. Lots a water bowls all over town. Skips bar has outside walls decorated with portraits of dogs. As far as beaches, Pet Beach on Honeymoon Island is the place for dog walking. Hope this helps.

Sorry the sign I see is right at the beginning of the bridge. I assume the dog beach is just before the bridge? That's really not part of the Island but then again it's a called a causeway too. I'm confused, LOL.

Many of the eateries will let you bring your dogs with you to eat in the outside patio areas.

That's very interesting but the sign is there. I go to Honeymoon every morning and after work each day. I'm there for few hours on weekend. I have noticed the amount of dogs there is a lot less.

They should get rid of the sign.
