4972 sq.ft...$450...but we have 3 ac's...3 washer/dryers...2 kitchens...so can't complain...I would pay that much heating a house half the size in nyc during the winter...

Yes, a customer charge of $8.76. So that leaves more than $70 - still seems high to me for 6 days occupancy out of the month.

We were at the house in April for only 10 days; we didn't use any a/c, as I recall. The bill for that month was $59. FYI: over here in Gulfport we are with Duke Energy.

Wow, that's amazingly efficient!
I have 2300sqft and the last bill was $275. It maxed out at $325 once last summer. We have 3 active kids at home that constantly uses their computers and electronics and I work from home too with three computers pretty much up all the time putting out heat. TV seems always on, washer/dryer/dishwasher get near daily work out. The house is all electric with cooking and thermostat set between 76 and 78 depend on whether we have guests or not and pool pump running 8hrs/day. All in all not too bad for total energy used. Could use some efficient windows vs the cheap single pane that comes with the house but I don't see spending 10k for upgrade to maybe save $50 per month. In the other season that lowers to $175, maybe $200 if there's a cold snap and the heat pump kicks in.
I used to pay $300 just for electric in the scorching Texas summer for a 3000sqft house and that didn't include a separate natural gas bill for probably another $100 for cooking, dryer, water heater. Then that just reverses in the winter for gas heating. All in all I'm paying less in energy usage and cost living here.
