Hi all -- I'm relocating from Miami to Pinellas County and seeking a 2/2 in St. Pete -- preferably close to downtown. (If anyone can point me to another area in Pinellas featuring a single 20's/early 30's crowd, however, I'm all ears.) My budget is around $1,700/month not including utilities.

I'd be greatly appreciative for any input re: particular condos/apartments in St. Pete, and where to look online to find good deals. Realtor referrals are also welcome.

Thanks everyone -- I know this is the wrong forum, but if anyone has any questions about Miami I'm happy to help!

The one thing that I noticed about the down town area is that many places do not advertise on the main apartment / condo websites. I live downtown and I can tell you that there are a lot of condo's apts down here but you will only find out about them from driving around. It does seem that a lot of younger people live at Fusion which is in Grand Central, The Beacon is also pretty popular. I live in a place called urban landings, I have mixed feeling about it but it is walkable to central ave and the bayfront and in your price range. I just am not overly joined with management as they seem to be a bit more concerned with money then tenants.
