Hello, my family is planning to relocate from Boca Raton to the Tampa area. We are currently in the process of looking for work up in Tampa. We would like to live in a family-friendly area; with good schools and within ten to fifteen miles of the beach. Any advice would be very welcome. Thank you.

You'll be hard pressed to find a beach that close from Tampa.....might consider St Pete or Clearwater......the only beach that I'm aware belonging to Tampa is Ben T. Davis Beach which is really located on the inner bay and not the gulf. The the nicest beach, imo.

There are lots of nice family friendly areas north of Tampa, but the beach part nixes those.
The Clearwater/Dunedin/Palm Harbor area would get you closer to the beach. Depending on where in Tampa you're working, it might be a 45 minute commute.
